We have a tendency to never be happy where we are and always want more or different things than what we have. And that is totally human! It is hard for us to be satisfied with what we have but if we did, we would be much happier in our lives.
In this article, you will find some tips to help you be more happy.
1- LIVE IN THE PRESENT
When you are being realistic, the anxiety we have is about our future, not being good enough, not having what we thought we will have, not knowing who and where we will be …. And about our past too, as most of our inner demons comes from our past and what happened to us, which is also what made us like we are today, in a good way ;-
Living in the present will allow you :
- to put the past aside (don’t worry, it will not go anywhere)
- to avoid getting anxiety thinking about the future (don’t worry, not thinking about the future all the time will not cancel it)
- to be fully here and now in the present (which means enjoying each moment of life like it was the last and fully living your life instead of living it in your head).
“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
2- APPRECIATE THE LITTLE THINGS
Life is short and we don’t have time to loose. Life is also hard and with the Covid situation, the atmosphere and vibrations in the air have been heavy for everyone. But let’s find some pleasures in the little things to makes us smile and feel better on a daily basis …

3- BEING GRATEFUL
In this time of Pandemic, where some of us have lost loved ones, works, homes… everything has become very incertain nowadays. For everyone so many things have changed in our lives since it has started, so many plans professional, personnel, whatever. Nothing is the way we had plan 2 years ago.
The world is telling us to pause and while we are pausing it is important to take a moment to look at what we have, start seeing the glass half full and be grateful.
» Stop wanting what you can’t have, and start appreciating what you have.
4- YOU DON’T NEED MORE TO BE HAPPY
When we think about our happiness, we have our little list, like our happiness to-do, and every time we gain something new on that list and we tick it off the list, we are already looking at the next waiting for it to happen. But if you wait to tick off everything from your list to be happy, you will never be.
Stop waiting for this and that to happen. Yes it will make you happy when it does but it is momentary happiness. Be happy in everything you do, find pleasure in what you have to do, appreciate what you have.
« Don’t wait for things to get better, life will always be complicated. Learn to happy right now, otherwise, you’ll run out of time. »
5- STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS
With the era of social media, you see a lot of things that you think is the reality of people and you compare yourself to them and you are unhappy and in the end you are unhappy, because you want something that does not exist.
So please, stop comparing yourself to others! You will never be the other because you are YOU! And you are unique!
Once you learn to look at your life, what you have, what you are grateful for… cultivate yourself like a precious garden to grow and bloom.
« Every minute you spend wishing you had someone else’s life, is a minute spent wasting yours. »
